I love to share the food I cook for my family and any tips and tricks picked up along the way. Trained in French cuisine at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Granville Island, Vancouver BC. I'm passionate about , wonderfully fresh, simple good food, cooking and eating! Not to mention, I really believe that you don't have to be an expert to make wonderful meals and enjoy cooking.
I grew up in a small village on Vancouver Island called Gold River, where the pace of life is more tranquil and parents don't worry about children being kidnapped on the way to school (bears and cougars are a bigger threat). This carefree small town up-bringing has given me an appreciation for the simple and down to earth. I'm now a busy mother to two sons but still try to keep a little piece of the small town pace present in my day.
I always look for clever ways to make things run a little smoother and tastier. My heart belongs to French cooking and techniques, but I'm inspired by food from all over the globe. Delicious food knows no borders or limits and is more about freshness, realistic seasonality, flavour and simplicity.
